During take-off, climb, cruise, descent, and landing, aerospace components are subjected to a complex combination of mechanical and environmental stresses. These include continuous and random vibration, transient and sustained shock events, wide temperature extremes, thermal cycling, and pressure variations associated with altitude. Over time, such conditions can drive fatigue damage, material degradation, increased noise and vibration levels, and mechanical loosening or displacement. If unverified, these effects can compromise critical systems such as engines, structures, avionics, and electrical harnessing.

Qualification and Acceptance Testing

We provide both qualification testing and acceptance testing, supporting aerospace programmes from design approval through production and entry into service. 

  • Qualification testing is used to demonstrate that a design is fit for its intended operational environment. Representative hardware is subjected to defined or margin-based test profiles that simulate, and often exceed, expected inservice conditions, providing confidence in design robustness and compliance. 
  • Acceptance testing verifies that production hardware conforms to the qualified design and has been manufactured consistently, without damage or degradation. This ensures each unit delivered is fit for service and ready for installation.

Standards, Regulations and Certification Support

Resonate Testing supports aerospace programmes requiring compliance with both regulatory and industry standards. Our accredited scope includes testing to FAA and EASA regulatory requirements, including:

With a 7500sqft facility of purpose-built test space, Resonate Testing can meet testing needs in various industries by offering locally or geographically diverse customers impressive capabilities coupled with a fast turnaround model. The facility includes a combined vibration and environmental laboratory (the only commercial facility on the Island of Ireland that can perform combined temperature and vibration testing up to 54kN), a fire test laboratory and a general mechanical test facility. Resonate Testing is UKAS accredited to ISO17025, ISTA and, as part of The Nacelle Group, certified to ISO9001:2015.
